This demonstration shows the MSP430 EKG Monitor application working off a single coin cell battery.  The MSP430 MCU provides a System-on-chip solution for an EKG application. EKG, ECG or Electrocardiogram is the waveform of the electrical activity of the heart over time via skin electrodes. The microcontroller device used in the demo is MSP430 FG439, which has highly integrated analog including 3 OAs, 2DACS and a 12 bit SAR ADC as well as a serial communications module and an LCD Driver.
