HI

i m a student.i have some problem related with power supply.i m using tps40060 buck regulator for vin 48vdc ,ouput 5vdc @ 6A.in example surge current is given for 3.3vdc output .but how can i calculate with this parameter.kindly please also how calculate output ripple voltage.?

Your description is vague. We hardly answer it.

surge current is not as same as load current, it caused by many reasons like distribution capacitor , initial condition , pcb and etc.

Ripply voltage depend on the end filter capacitor and its EMS parameter. has lttle relation with surge current.
