Hello.

I am looking for an LDO that consumes very, very low power (battery operated) and that has a fixed single output (+5V, +3.3V are the voltages I am considering for now).  It is going to provide power to a temperature sensor for a monitoring application. A battery would actually suffice but I am just preparing for scenarios where the battery output would not be stable anymore.

The TPS71550 and TPS71533 particularly caught my attention because these are designed to support MSP430 families, one of the components used in the project.  However, I would like to hear better suggestions from more experienced users in this forum.

Thanks,
Brennan

There is also the TPS79733 (a fixed 3.3V output) which has even lower quiescent current but does not have a 5.0V output version.

That was quick. Thank you Scot for the suggestion.  I'll look at this very soon.

Quick update: We chose the TPS715XX family for our LDOs. The 5V and 3V components are now working as specified in the datasheets.

Thank you for the support so far.

Cheers,
Brennan
