Problems with eZ430-RF2500.

Hi, i had a eZ430-RF2500 development kit with me. i would like to upgrade the current demo GUI. 

i would like to include the RSSI value in the node. currently it show the RSSI ( signal strength in the console. )
i have problems finding where to put that value into the node. is the programm found in the firm ware of the device or in the GUI?

please reply and guide me as soon as possible. as i am doing it as my final year project in singapore.
