The TRM shows that BOOT_BCI bit 5, BCIAUTOWEN, is read only. The lowest three bits in this register state "Must have PI_BCIAUTOWEN=1 to enable the write access".

I have two or  three questions:

1. Is BCIAUTOWN equivalent to PI_BCIAUTOWEN?

2. Is BCIAUTOWEN really read only?

3. If BCIAUTOWEN is read only, how is it set?

TIA,

Bob

Hi Bob,

Find the answers below:

1. Is BCIAUTOWN equivalent to PI_BCIAUTOWEN?

[AS] ---> Yes, Both are equivalent

2. Is BCIAUTOWEN really read only?

[AS] --> Yes

3. If BCIAUTOWEN is read only, how is it set?

[AS] --> Its Status is automatically taken care by the design,. When the IC is in Automatic Charge Mode, the bit will set to '1'. In Software control Mode, PWM Mode, Accessory Supply Mode, this bit will be '0'.
