Hi,
We have designed an USB to RS485 bridge with VCP feature. We can send data but we can not able to manage to receive.
Whenever we send any data, data is reflecting on TUSB3410 receive pin. We thing there is aproblem on DTR control.
Schematic is controlled by local TI support engineer and there was no any error.
I2C Header Utility for VCP Applicaitons is used to generate .bin file with umpe3410.i51 sent by Dan Harmon for RS485.
EEPROM Burned Utiliy is used to download firmware. Then PC driver is used supplied by TI with swrc094d code.
When we plug the device to USB port a virtual com port is appears on device manager section, say COM7.
We can send data with a test program, but we can not receive. We can communite with the same test software and test device when we used an other USB converter.
Then I new PC driver sent by local TI support engineer and told us to modify .inf file by removing umpe3410.i51 instances. But it did not work.
1. Could you please supply us;
1. A working FW and PC driver for RS485 bridge aplication
2. A PID for our product using with TI VID : 0x0451
3. Source code for firmware and PC dirver.
Best regards.
Hello,
Does the "umpe3410.i51" FW was bulit for RS-485 protocol? Our default FW is only RS-232... and it comes by default with our Header Generator Utility. By the way, is it mandatory to load FW from EEPROM? you can also load it from the host, and the EEPROM will only containg your VID/PID and serial number info...
Attached is the FW files for RS-485 protocol (umpf3410 can be only loaded by the host PC issuing bulk EP tranfers. On the contrary, the umpe3410 should be included in the EEPROM by generating a propper BIN file).
Regarding the FW and Driver source code, please send and email to Dan Harmon (dharmon@ti.com) requesting so. You will need to fill up a form.
About the PID and VID info, Dan Harmon should be able to help you with this one also.
Best Regards,
Ismael
Good Evening Mr. Duron,
We have sent our device to you and I suppose you will receive it today.
Thanksfor your answer.
Best ragards.
Yilmaz,
I've just recieved your 3410 implementation. I'll be testing tomorrow...
Do you suggest a simple test scenario to see the issue?
Thanks,
Ismael Durón
