This is great news.

I installed it and it appears to be working.

I am having trouble setting breakpoints in CCS version 4 but I believe this to be a CCS V4 issue, not a driver issue, since I am having the same issue on my 32-bit Windows XP machine and it works just fine with CCS version 3. I have another thread going with CCS V4 issues so I'll post the details there and let this one close unless I have specific issues with the driver.

Is there any update to the ETA on 64-bit support? I just installed the latest CCS v4 beta and it still cannot find a Vista 64 driver for the MSP-FETU430IF. I need to know if it is worth waiting or bite the bullet now and downgrade to a 32-bit OS.

good news: TI just released a 64-bit USB driver for the FET430UIF. it's still currently in development and is available *as-is* with no formal TI support. it has passed basic usability testing on Windows XP, Vista and 7 for both 32 and 64-bit editions. Hello,

Did you add a support for the Olimex programmers, like IAR did. I have heard that it is possible to use Olimex USB tool with CCE 3 by replacing some dlls, but somehow it doesn't work at my version.

Anyway the proper official support will be most welcome.

We are hoping to have the final version posted late July. Prior to that we should have a release candidate available as well. That should be up real soon. The first release of CCS v4 will not have this support. I have submitted a enahancement request so this can be considered for a future update.

I think this is how it will work (perhaps Adrian can comment): At first you will be able to have a 30-day trial version to wait until the physical copies ship. The download will have a way to generate an eval license so people can just download it and then order and while they are waiting for the physical kit with the real activation code they can still use the product.

I just bought CCE430 PRO 3.x. About when will I get new license for CCSv4? Should I sit tight and watch the mailbox?

Will it ship by post outside US or by e-mail ?

I don't know how and where to register CCE430 PRO. Please give me a hint! Thx!

Yes you would receive a CCSv4 Platinum license as part of your 1 year subscription and it would include MSP430 support in addition to the DSP & ARM families supported by your current tools.

I purchased CCS v3.3 Platinum with a 1 year support package 5 months ago which was DSP centric and did not support MSP430. Do I have access to CCS v4 with MSP430 support now?
